I've always believed that when you're ready for change, the right tools, teachers and situations will appear as if by magic. Sometime we don't necessarily consciously feel ready for change, but those 'little' decisions we make along the way are guiding us along - whether it's a long, gradual process of change or a life-stopping, burn everything to the ground kinda change.
This happened in my own life about 5 years ago when I started a 2-year Diploma in Crystal Healing - as I progressed through the course, all the layouts, grids, dowsing and chakra-balancing bought about some real shifts. In terms of change, it started off both the longer process and a couple of burn-everything-down-to-the-grounds too.
The following crystals are ones that I used at various stages to support me on my journey - I found that many of the stones on this list were strong enough energies to either shift blockages or support me at the hardest bits, when there's no going back.
Crystals For Bringing Change
I didn't find it amongst the most powerful on the list, but Pyrite wasn't there for defending the mental/emotional shit hitting the fan. Pyrite is my crystal of choice for shifting in terms of abundance and money blocks, hence it's popular nickname 'Fool's Gold'. It reminds me to get out the way sometimes so I can let abundance in. It reminds me of my ethics in business. And just like my material weakness for beautiful perfumes, it looks damn good on my desk.
Malachite and Dioptase became a favourite pairing of mine. Malachite is made of strong stuff! It's often known as the 'stone of transformation' and is particularly good at healing the Heart Chakra and helping with emotional wounds. Like Pyrite, it's good for business but I love it for its strength and clearing abilities.
Stone of courage, Tiger's Eye is beautiful to look at and brings a lovely mix of willpower and good fortune. I want it with me when I can feel fear and anxiety rising, so I can sit with it and transmute into positive go-getting energy.
I have a piece of Garnet that looks a bit like a harmless cherry, but the energy coming of it is most definitely badass. For me it's very connected to the uprising of the Feminine and connecting with ma inner She. Sometimes I look at this little stone and wouldn't be surprised if it burst into flames. Wonderful for working with the Root Chakra and sexuality.
I was lucky enough to be gifted a piece of Preseli Bluestone; the stone that's thought to be used in construction at Stonehenge. Again, this stone emits a very strong energy and when I'm feeling particularly sensitive to such, it can hurt to hold it in my hand for more than a few seconds. Pop a piece under your pillow and check your dreams... Good for real strong-ass grounding and connecting to Earth energy. Put it on your third eye and expect some shifts!!
Another intense energy, Dioptase makes a great pairing with either Malachite or Obsidian for healing from emotional shocks and trauma. It also encourages compassion and forgiveness. Good to meditate with when your focus is to be in the present and moving closer to finding a sense of peace.
Obsidian is a stone of protection and a useful one to have around if you're working with the Shadow Self or exploring healing aspects of the Dark Feminine within you. It blocks negative energies and psychic attack, so try wearing some when you're around those who drain your energy or if you have to be in a place with a particularly negative feel.
Another stone closely connected with the Heart Chakra and emotional healing. I found Pink Kunzite to be really supportive in emotional healing when going through fertility treatment, as it's a bit stronger energy than Rose Quartz. It is useful to work with during strongly-emotionally charged situations to help prevent 'clamming up' and shutting yourself off emotionally when you really need connection and compassion.
This looks rather like Clear Quartz but there are tiny 'rutiles' in it which look a bit like little bits of wire. Rutile Quartz is a stone of spiritual growth, and is strong at cleansing and purifying. Good for working with/wearing through a period of ongoing change.
These are my nine favourite crystals to support you during a badass change; do you have any favourites or crystals you had to have near you when going through hard times? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
